The Swan Group is a privately held business owned by the Swan family. Established by Thomas J. Swan, Sr. in 1932, the Swan Group began with the founding of Emerson Swan, one of the nations pre-eminent manufacturers representative organizations in the plumbing/heating industry.

Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, the Swan Groups disciplines are multi-channel distribution, manufacturing and commercial/industrial real estate. The Group is comprised of Emerson Swan, Flexcon Industries, FlexWave International, Skidmore/Vent-Rite Valve, Smiths Environmental Products Ltd., Sytec Controls and the Swan Realty Group. These diversified companies, with the exception of the Swan Realty Group, are run as separate business units with autonomous management and reporting. Sales, marketing and engineering resources within each company are leveraged when appropriate on a product and market basis. Facilities ownership, leasing and management are shared among the various operating entities and the Swan Realty Group.
