Smiths Environmental Products, an affiliated Swan Group Company, is internationally recognized as a leading manufacturer and innovator in the area of “fan convector” technology. Beginning as a start-up in 1991, Smiths “re-invented” fan convector heater design and has advanced to the forefront of the industry. This has meant the development of a full product portfolio, innovative methods of manufacturing and a comprehensive strategic marketing plan.

Smith’s also manufactures the popular line of Heating Edge High Efficiency Hybrid heating element, a unique two-pipe high output baseboard. Heating Edge has superior low temperature performance which makes it the perfect heating compliment for high efficiency boilers, geothermal heat pumps and solar-thermal collectors. It also has exceptional output at high supply temperatures making it an attractive alternative to traditional commercial baseboard.

Smiths Environmental Products employs 70 full-time employees in a 25,000 square foot assembly plant where 90% of all components are manufactured or machined in house. This production philosophy has earned Smiths the reputation of having the highest quality products available to the market.

Although a start-up in 1991, Smith’s was established with several key individuals who, combined, had over 125 years of fan convector experience. The company’s strategy continues to focus on high quality, niche oriented fan convector products and on innovative and unique designs that require pioneering to achieve success. As a testament to Smiths success, Smiths was the only company in the heating industry to be awarded the “Queen’s Award” for export excellence in 1996.
